Our Vortex can be applied to any surface in any color other than white. It is NOT transparent. Aegis is a semi transparent coating that also has anti-corrosion and chemical resistant properties stronger than a traditional Vortex Bedliner. It should be used in areas exposed to corrosion and chemicals.
Vortex is a Polyurea. While most bedliners have been epoxies. Polyurea is 10 times more flexible and 4 times stronger than Epoxy. This allows us to use it on Wood and Metal side by side. Because these materials expand and contract at different speeds, the flexibility of the Polyurea does not crack or fracture.
